Story Stop: Stories for children newborn to 6 years. Mondays–Saturdays from 1:30 to1:45 p.m.

Bilingual Story: Stories presented in Spanish and English for children newborn to 6 years. Sundays, 1:30 to1:45 p.m. Except April 3.

Book Babies: Storytime for children newborn to 12 months, Tuesdays from 10:15 to11 a.m.

Tiny Tots: Storytime for children 12 to 24 months. Wednesdays from 10:15 to10: 45 a.m.

Toddler Storytime: Storytime for children 24 to 36 months. Wednesdays from 11 to11: 30 a.m.

Preschool Storytime: Storytime for children 3 to 6 years, Thursdays from 10:15 to 11 a.m.

Monoprints: Create a springtime print with artist Colleen Cavin as she shows you simple monoprint techniques. Sunday, April 9 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Teen Lounge and Homework Center: Use library computers, get homework help, or just do your homework and listen to music. For teens in grades 6–12, Mondays from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Read to the Dogs SM: Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy dog from the Dove Lewis Animal Assisted Therapy and Education Program. Registration is required. Call 503-988-5392, Mondays, April 3 and 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 18 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Talk Time: Talk Time is an informal conversation circle for non-native speakers to practice speaking English. This is not a class, but an opportunity to meet new people, share your culture and have fun. Food will be served. Only English will be spoken. Sign up in advance at the library, or just come to any session.

Tuesdays, April 18 and 25 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Pageturners: Engage in stimulating conversation about books, exchange perspectives about characters and plot, and get to know your neighbors, Friends of the Library sponsors this book club. The Tuesday, April 11 session will meet from 6:45 to 8 p.m. to discuss “Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation” by Lynne Truss. Read “The Way We Never Were: American Families and the Nostalgia Trap” by Stephanie Coontz for the Wednesday, April 19 session that meets from 1 to 2:15 p.m.

Computer Lab: Lab assistants are available to help beginners practice their computer skills. Fridays from 2:30 to 5 p.m.

Word Processing I: Learn how to use the basic features of Microsoft Word 2000. Participants need to be comfortable using a keyboard and mouse. Registration is required. Register online, in the library or by calling 503-988-5234. Monday, April 3 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Cyber Seniors Computer Classes: This series of classes is for seniors who want to learn how to use a computer. Learn to use a mouse, search the Internet and send and receive e-mail. Each session will consist of one hour of instruction and one hour of practice. You must register and attend all three sessions. Register online, in the library or by calling 503-988-5234. Mondays, April 3, 10 and 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Catalog for the Computer Savvy: Come learn how to get around in the library catalog. Learn about the new features and all the great things you can do with this system. Registration is required. Register online, in the library or by calling 503-988-5234. Friday, April 7 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Catalog with Mouse Basics: This class is designed for the beginning computer user. Learn how to use the mouse as you learn about the library catalog. Registration is required. Register online, in the library or by calling 503-988-5234. Saturday, April 22 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
