The candidate fairs have been timed with the arrival of mail-in ballots.
Candidates running for Multnomah County Chair, Multnomah County Sheriff, Multnomah County Auditor, Metro Councilor-Position 1 and Metro Auditor are on the docket on Monday, May 1 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Parkrose High School Student Center, 12003 N.E. Shaver St.
On Thursday, May 4, voters will have the opportunity to meet Portland City Council Position 2 and Position 3 candidates from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Fir Ridge High School Student Center, 11215 S.E. Market St.
Questions will be gathered from those who attend. They will be added to two pre-determined questions chosen by the sponsors of the events. Answers will be timed to allow everyone a fair opportunity to respond.
Campaign information tables will be part of each event. Neighborhood association and service information will also be available. Finally, there will be a voter registration table at each event.
Use these opportunities to become an informed voter.
