The Mid-county Memo is your newspaper. We want to hear from you. Discuss an important issue or address a concern you want to call to the community’s attention. We prefer e-mailed letters to the editor sent to Darlene Vinson at editor@midcountymemo.com. Please put “Letter to the editor” in the subject line. You may also mail your letter to 3510 N.E. 134th Ave., Portland, OR 97230 or fax it to 503-249-7672. Our deadline for the February issue is Tuesday, Jan. 15.
Committee extends thanks
The Parkrose High School seniors and their parents would like to express a special thank you to Joe Rossi. He generously allowed us to once again use Rossi Farms as the site for our Haunted Ghost Town at Halloween. This event is a major fundraiser for us. The record-breaking turnout at what was the final year of this event brought in $9,000 in support of the 2008 Senior All-Night Party.
In addition to Rossi, the committee is indebted to Mike Treadway of Portland Sunbelt Rentals, who provided equipment, and to Craig Flynn and Amy Salvador for their many hours of work and support.
Our thanks as well to all those who attended and to the many volunteers who make such an event possible.
