How to improve your neighborhood: Get involved

RICH RIEGEL
THE MID-COUNTY MEMO

So you’d like to get involved in your neighborhood association, but you don’t know whom to contact. We’ve got the answer for you.

The following is a list of neighborhood associations in Mid-Multnomah County. Use the map (page 16) to figure out which neighborhood association you belong to. The 13 neighborhood associations represented by the East Portland Neighborhood Office are bounded by the Columbia River on the north, Clackamas County on the south, Interstate 205 on the west (with the exception of the Lents Neighborhood Association, which stretches farther west) and the Gresham city boundary to the east.

The umbrella organization for the neighborhood associations is EPNO, which has a plethora of resources. Go online at www.epno.org or call the helpful people at EPNO at 503-823-4550.

Keep in mind also that your Mid-county Memo monthly Calendar section lists meeting dates and times for many of the associations. In addition, when available, we’ll publish any agenda items set.
