Comedy on tap for Readers Theatre
Mt. Hood Repertory Theatre Company continues its seventh season of Readers Theatre, titled Down through the Decades and featuring great plays from each decade. Readers Theatre is a relaxed and entertaining medium in which the area’s finest professional actors use the words of the play, their voices and the audience’s imagination to bring these stories to life on the stage.

In December, the Rep will present the 1960s and Herb Gardner’s “A Thousand Clowns,” directed by Tobias Andersen. In this rollicking comedy, Murray Burns, a cheerful eccentric, is raising his 12-year old nephew and believes in living life fully, even if that means going to the movies instead of looking for a job.

“A Thousand Clowns” will be read at the Reynolds Middle School Theater, 1200 N.E. 201st Ave. in Fairview, on Monday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. Admission is $7.
