Cleary's Restaurant raises funds
and spirits on Dine for America Day In
response to the tragedy on September 11, Wes and Mercedes Cleary, owners
of Cleary's Restaurant & Spirits in Menlo Park Plaza, and members of
the Oregon Restaurant Association (ORA) participated with fellow ORA
members, and restaurants nationwide in
"Dine for America" day on Thursday, October 11. A
portion of all restaurant profits on this day went to the American Red
Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Cleary's two establishments raised and donated over $1000. According to Bob Petow of the ORA, restaurants across the state raised over $500,000. Totals for the entire United States were unavailable at press time. A big Memo hurrah for those participating restaurants and patrons. Window
