October Computing Tip

Turn off CD Autorun

Many people dislike this "feature" and would

prefer to open, browse, and read CD's like any other disk.

To turn this "convenience" off, try this...

Right-click on the My Computer icon and select Properties.

Choose the Device Manager tab.

Open the CD-ROM listing, and select your CD-ROM.

Click Properties, and then choose the Settings tab.

Turn off the Auto insert notification option.

Click OK, and then OK again.

Next time you restart Windows, autorun will be gone.
