Memo Calendar (continued) MEETINGS Networking and political debate Members of East Portland Chamber of Commerce meet each Wednesday morning at 7:30, when a chamber member hosts a Good Morning East Portland Networking opportunity somewhere within East Portland. The following meetings are coming: Springwater Chiropractic and Dr. Steven Prom will host the Sept. 8 meeting at 829 S.E. 182nd Ave., Suite 100. Prom is a graduate of Western States Chiropractic College and Mt. View School of Massage. He is a former associate clinician at the WSCC outpatient clinic, helping train new doctors chiropractic. Prom is proficient in Diversified adjust and Thompson technique. He also utilizes Nasal Specific Technique for patients with chronic sinusitis, snoring or other breathing difficulties. The city and your small business In its continuing effort to provide updated information and notice of services to residents, the City of Portland Bureau of Developments Services will offer a discussion and feedback session regarding small business at the monthly Lunch and Learn Brown Bag Session. Take a lunch to the Second Floor Conference Room 2500-A, 1900 S.W. 4th Ave. Building, at noon on Friday, Sept. 10 to take part. Issues discussed at this Small Business Guide to Development Services will include: Permits you may need to operate a small business out of your home. Making changes to your business site, tenant improvements, upgrades. What you need to know before buying or leasing a new business site. A general membership meeting of the Wilkes Community Group will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Teamsters Complex, Joe Edgar Hall, 1850 N.E. 162nd Ave. The Hazelwood Neighborhood Association will meet on Monday, Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the East Precinct Community Room, 737 S.E. 106th Ave. The Parkrose Neighborhood Association will hold a general meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 11100 N.E. Skidmore St. Argay Neighborhood Association board members will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21. Knott St., at 7 p.m. While this is a working session of the board, it is an open meeting. A general meeting, featuring Michael Taylor, the superintendent of the Parkrose School District, and elections to the board is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. also in Miller Hall.
