THINGS TO DO
Leach Garden offers focus tours
Leach Botanical Garden, 6704 S.E. 122nd Ave., will feature a monthly theme for its weekly Saturday morning public tours. The first Saturday of each month will continue to be the “Gardener’s Tour,” led by Garden Steward Scotty Fairchild. Garden volunteers will lead all other Saturday tours at 10 a.m.

In March the theme will be “The garden awakens! Come see what’s in bloom.” And in April the focus will be on ferns and riparian species along the bank of Johnson Creek.

These monthly guided to tours are designed to highlight seasonal features of Portland’s only public botanical garden. Admission is free.

To learn more or to become a volunteer, contact Nancy Williams at 503-823-1671.
