The play’s the thing
On a dark and stormy night, William Hallowell Magee, a novelist, is challenged by a friend to write a novel in 24 hours. Magee’s friend arranges a quiet space for the writer to create his masterpiece at Baldpate Inn, an empty summer lodge. When Magee arrives, the caretaker assures him that he has the only key to the Inn and that he will not be disturbed. As the wintry night continues, Magee discovers that he is, in fact, not the only one with a key.

Learn how this mysterious comedy plays out as the David Douglas High School Theatre Arts Department presents George M. Cohan’s “Seven Keys to Baldpate.” Performances are set for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 10, 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Horner Performing Arts Center, 1400 S.E. 130th Ave.
