25 years and still growing

Denny & Joyce Edelen started Edelen Custom Doors & Windows in 1977.
Local residents Denny and Joyce Edelen have been successfully building their family owned and operated business here in Portland for 25 years. Edelen Custom Doors & Windows started in 1977 as a small operation, with Denny Edelen selling and installing garage doors from his home. Joyce did the bookkeeping in the evenings after returning home from her job as a legal secretary. Eventually the business did well enough that Joyce was able to quit her job and work full-time with her husband.

By 1983, the Edelens were ready for a move, and they brought their thriving business to the Gateway Area. Denny Edelen has experience with the industry dating from 1966, when he first learned the trade from his brother after his discharge from the Air Force. His 34 years of experience and the company’s friendly, reliable, knowledgeable atmosphere has earned the Edelen Custom Doors & Windows a broad base of loyal customers. This solid support has allowed the company to continue expanding, offering more and more services to their customers.

From their humble start, the Edelens have built Edelen Custom Doors & Windows into one of the largest dealers in the Northwest for residential garage doors and quality windows. Today, in addition to 35 knowledgeable employees, the Edelens also have two locations and a wide range of products. In addition to garage doors and openers, the Edelens also offer windows, entry doors, awnings, skylights, patio doors, French doors, security/storm doors, garden windows and high-quality siding. Even in a slowed economy, the Edelens continue to offer their customers high-quality, reliable services and new products. This year’s expansion is fencing and decking. The company now offers vinyl and cedar decking and fencing.

Most garage door companies don’t offer showrooms, but this company offers much more, and they want their customers to see that. Visit the expansive 7,000 square foot showroom in the Gateway Area to see what’s available. The offer a great selection of brand-name products and have knowable staff on hand to help you decide what would work best for you. With two of the biggest showrooms in the Northwest, the Edelens offer selection and service second to none. They also offer free estimates to their customers.

Quality customer service is their specialty, and all installations are guaranteed. With their strong commitment to quality, service, and customer communication, Edelen Custom Doors & Windows has earned the respect of architects, builders, remodelers, and homeowners alike. Come see why today. Visit their Gateway Area location at 700 N.E. 100th Ave., or call 503-255-6552 for more information. Edelen Custom Doors & Windows also has a location in Beaverton at 5334 S.W. Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway. Call 503-245-6265 to contact the Beaverton location.
