Mid-county church modernizes –

Access to Savage Memorial Presbyterian Church has been significantly improved for disabled individuals through the installation of a wheelchair lift to the church’s three levels. Parishioner Wally Balmer is shown exiting the new lift, which is one of three church building improvement projects funded by rummage sales, an auction, and “extra mile” giving by the congregation, all in 2001 and early 2002. A formal dedication ceremony and service for the new lift was held on Sunday, September 22, at Savage Memorial Presbyterian Church located at 1740 Southeast 139th Avenue.
