Northeast Rotary rings up donations

COURTESY OLLIE LUND
Last month, members of the Northeast Rotary Club handled the bell-ringing chores at Gateway Center's Fred Meyer store. Lisa Wilkins of Stevenson, Wash., drops a dollar into the Salvation Army red kettle last and receives a heartfelt “thank you,” from Northeast Rotary Club member Keith Manning.

The SA's traditional red kettles are an integral part of the Christmas scene, with millions of dollars donated each year to aid needy families, seniors, and the homeless, in keeping with the spirit of the season.
