Take part in your local government
Each month, Maywood Park residents have the uniquely American opportunity to participate in their government. Don’t ignore your right to have a say in the laws that govern you. Whether you have an opinion you want heard or you just like to know what is going on in your neighborhood, a city council meeting is the answer.

Maywood Park City Council meetings for October will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, and Tuesday, Oct. 22. The meetings will be held at 7 p.m. on the Maywood Park campus of Mt. Hood Community College, 10100 N.E. Prescott St. Meetings are usually located in room 223. Look for the sign in the front window.

The meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 8 will focus on updated city ordinances. The council will be discussing issues related to home-based businesses and animal ordinances, including types of pets allowed, pet disturbances, and animal waste and disposal.

For more information, call the Maywood Park City Council at 503-255-9805. Citizens are also encouraged to write in with their concerns, which will be discussed during the meeting. Address your concerns, comments, or potential solutions to the Maywood Park City Council, 10100 N.E. Prescott St., Maywood Park, OR, 97220.
