Gary Boley passed away on Feb. 17 surrounded by loved ones at his home in Sandy at the age of 65. At his request, there will not be a service; instead, a celebration of his amazing life will take place sometime this summer at his home. Gary was an inspiration to all who met him, as he always lived life with his disability with grace, honor and a smile on his face. Boley graduated from Parkrose High School in 1969. He retired from Tri-Met after managing the LIFT program and later served as a commissioner on the Oregon State Disabilities Commission. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sue Boley; daughter, Kristy Thomas; son-in-law, James Thomas; granddaughter, Halle Thomas; and brother, Ron. He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Boley, who passed in November 2016.
