Multnomah County conducts unannounced inspections of food service establishments. Inspectors ensure food safety by evaluating food worker habits and practices.

Inspectors report observed violations that are not in compliance with Oregon statutes and administrative rule.

Priority violations at the time of the inspection unable to be corrected must be corrected within 14 days and verified by a reinspection. Reinspections are not scored.

A restaurant must receive a score of 70 to pass. Customers will find a placard on the restaurant entrance indicating if a facility passed the last routine health inspection.
