Dear Memo:
Thank you for publishing the item in your July issue (“Pick up free compost in Parkrose”—July 2015 Business Memos) about the free compost we give away at our yard. We got more than fifty phone calls; they’re still coming in. It was really cool to know that all those people read the Memo. The people that came were appreciative that we were doing this for the community. Some people came and got one bucket, while others came and loaded up their truck. Some of the seniors and people on fixed incomes told us they can’t just go down and buy soil at the local garden center. It was a very successful collaboration. We were amazed at the response. Thank you again for publishing that notice.
