Diapers for every baby
The mission of SnowCap Community Charities is to provide food and clothing for those who are struggling to make ends meet. No piece of clothing is more basic and necessary than the diaper, so SnowCap chose diapers as the focus of its appeal bid at its 13th annual dinner and auction last month.

Prior to the auction, families could approach SnowCap once a year for a package of six diapers, some baby wipes and other infant sanitation supplies. As a result of the generosity of more than 350 auction guests, SnowCap will now honor such requests three times per year for the 5000 babies the charity serves annually.

Overall the auction raised $119,000, which will help SnowCap serve clients in Parkrose, Fairview, Troutdale and Gresham. Because of community support and the Oregon Food Bank, SnowCap is now able to double the number of visits allowed per year from six to 12.
