Elections for school board positions in the Memo’s circulation area is May 19. Qualified voters who desire to be a candidate must file a completed application with the Multnomah County Elections Division by 5 p.m. Thursday, March 19.

Applications are available at the Multnomah County Elections Office, 1040 S.E. Morrison St. Applications are also available on the Elections Division website: www.mcelections.org.

To date, only incumbents have filed to run in East Portland school districts.

In Parkrose, no candidates have filed as of Feb. 28. Thuy Tran, who occupies Position 3, is not running for a full four-year term after serving for around three years. However, James Trujillo, Parkrose’s Position 2 incumbent, has indicated he is filing for re-election. At press time, here is the list of candidates who have filed for Mid-county school boards:
