Event planning shop opens in Parkrose
Personal Touch Occasions has opened in Parkrose. This unique shop specializes in event and wedding planning and offers handcrafted, natural products made by local artisans. You will find soaps, lotions, cakes, candies, wedding accessories and one-of-a-kind gift baskets.
Owner Rene Hartford is a longtime Parkrose resident. She has been operating Personal Touch Occasions out of her home for about six years. She celebrated the grand opening of her store at 4945 N.E. 109th Ave. in March.

Housing solutions coming to Gateway
Human Solutions operates the Helping Hands Community Store at 9999 N.E. Glisan St. The store is a retail-clothing outlet that distributes donated clothing. It provides worksite training for men and women who have never been successful in the workplace. Client families may select up to 10 articles of clothing per family member twice monthly at no cost. Donations are accepted Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
