Homework Helpers: Homework Helpers are trained volunteers who give students one-on-one help finding the books and information they need to complete homework assignments. They volunteer whenever school is in session. Tuesdays, 6 to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, 2 to 4 p.m.

Read to the Dogs: Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to therapy dogs. The dogs and handlers are from the Dove Lewis Animal Assisted Therapy and Education Program. Create Your Own Pop-up Workshop: Sam Tyler, a collector of pop-up and movable books, will teach three styles of pop-ups in this fun, beginners workshop for children eight years and older. In conjunction with Central Library’s Robert Sabuda pop-up exhibit, February 19 to April 21.

Tax Help: Trained tax preparers volunteer their time and expertise to help you with your tax forms. Bring last year’s tax return and this year’s paperwork.
