The Taipei Noodle Haus, 11642 N.E. Halsey St., is a new Chinese restaurant that specializes in cook-to-order classic and popular Northern Chinese and Taiwanese foods along with well-known Korean dishes. Taipei Noodle Haus is one of a few restaurants in Portland that serves its own house-made noodles and Korean-style kimchi, says owner Yan Du. Taipei Noodle Haus also serves wine and beer to pair with a number of menu choices.

Favorite noodle dishes on the menu include seafood noodle soup and Chinese beef noodle soup. Diners also enjoy seafood hot and sour soup, Taipei style sweet and sour fish and Mandarin fried chicken.

Taipei Noodle Haus is family-owned and operated by Portland locals who have not only owned but also operated other popular restaurants in the area: Fu Lu Shu in the early 80s, Imperial Garden in Milwaukie, and Chinese Delicacy. Taipei Noodle Haus is closed on Mondays but is open Tuesday through Sunday at 11 a.m., with closing time between 9 and 10 p.m. No reservations are required. Bar seating is available. Call 503-206-5090 for take-out orders.
