The Mid-county Memo is your newspaper. We want to hear from you. Discuss an important issue or address a concern you want to call to the community's attention. We prefer e-mailed letters to the editor sent to Darlene Vinson at editor@midcountymemo.com. Please put “Letter to the editor” in the subject line. You may also mail your letter to 3510 N.E. 134th Ave., Portland, OR 97230 or fax it to 503-249-7672. Deadline for the December issue is Monday, Nov. 16.

Parkrose parents proudly tout children's musical accomplishments
To the Editor:
We really enjoyed the story about Terry Robb. Thought we'd add two of our children to your list of (well-known) Parkrose musicians.

Pat Miller: Class of 1972.

Pat plays guitar and has performed with Terry a number of times over the years. Pat arranged the music for Will Vinton's Emmy Award-winning special “Claymation Christmas.” In 1988 he signed with Atlantic Records that created a record using the music from the special.

Jane Miller Evans: Class of 1974.

Jane has a master's in performance from PSU (Portland State University). A graduate of Western Oregon (University) in teaching, she taught music for a number of years and is currently the principal of North Albany Middle School. She has performed on a regular basis in Salem's Pentacle Theatre musicals.

It was great fun to have Terry featured - he's a good friend. Thanks so much.

Editor's note: No, thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Miller. We've added Pat and Jane's names to the list of well-known Parkrose musicians on our Web site: www.midcountymemo.com/oct09_robb4.html.
