UCCU scholarship applications available
As a leading financial institution in Oregon, Unitus Community Credit Union is dedicated to helping members achieve a higher education.

This year, Unitus has eleven scholarships available to graduating high school, undergraduate and graduate students. Each scholarship recipient will receive $1,000 toward his or her tuition for the 2009 academic year. Scholarships will be based on academic achievement, financial need and community involvement.

Applicants must have been a Unitus Community Credit Union member for at least one year as of May 1, have an account in good standing, and either be planning to enroll or already enrolled as a full-time student at an eligible institution for the fall quarter or semester of 2009.

Applications may be accessed at www.unitusccu.com. Completed applications must be returned to Unitus by April 30.

OCOM Clinic reduces fees
The Oregon College of Oriental Medicine Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic, 10525 S.E. Cherry Blossom Drive has reduced its fees to make treatments more accessible to patients during these difficult economic times. Effective immediately, the rates in the OCOM Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic are as follows:

• Acupuncture in the Intern Teaching Clinic: $22

• Massage (shiatsu and tuina): $22

• Group acupuncture treatment: $10

• Herbal consultation (does not include the cost of herbs): $5

While the clinic has no plan to raise fees at this time, these rates are subject to change. Patients are encouraged to inquire about fees when calling to make an appointment.
