Hodori Korean demo team comes to Choi’s

Members of the Seoul Olympic Hodori Tae Kwon Do demonstration team made a stop at Choi’s Martial Arts school in Mid-county on Feb. 5 during their nationwide tour. Grand Master Yim D.K. led his young men and women through a program that featured a full spectrum of the martial arts experience. Team members included those as young as 5. The Memo counted approximately 150 local martial arts enthusiasts in attendance. Choi’s students and their families enjoyed a one-hour demonstration of tae kwon do and interpretive movement. Choi’s Martial Arts is located at 11702 N.E. Halsey St., offering classes in traditional and modern style martial arts for beginning through advanced students. Hodori is Korean for “little tiger.”

The Memo is presenting many, if not all, of the photos Executive Editor Rich Riegel took during the first part of the demonstration.
