In last month's article, Gateway Commons undergoes design review we got the project's name wrong. It is Glisan Commons. In addition, in the December 2011 article about the new Neighborhood Prosperity Initiative, East Portland gains new mini-U.R. Districts, we incorrectly reported the City will borrow against future revenues to provide each district with $10,000 in startup funds. The city is providing the startup money from the general fund without borrowing. The statement, After seven years, all tax revenue will go into the General Fund, is also wrong. After NPI districts expire in seven to ten years, all tax revenue reverts back to the regular taxing districts, not just the City. In the article's photo caption, we mistakenly said one of the NPI areas is in Hollywood. We apologize for the errors and regret the mistakes. |
