After graduating from the University of Louisville, Todd spent two years working at a Kentucky regional firm in the auditing department. Now he has switched gears and is focusing on tax work, while completing the requirements for the CPA exam by attending Portland State University. Town Center Bancorp and Town Center Bank Elect New John J. Faherty, President of Portland Insurance Agency, Inc., has been elected to the Board of Directors for Town Center Bancorp and Town Center Bank. Mr. Faherty has been actively involved in the insurance industry for more than 30 years and is the past-president of Professional Insurance Agents of Oregon and Idaho, an association that represents more than 2300 independent insurance agents and agency staff. Mr. Faherty has been actively involved with the greater Portland Metropolitan area, having served as President of Specialized Housing. Additionally, Mr. Faherty has served on several school boards, coached CYO basketball for 20 years and served on several church boards. Mr. Faherty is a graduate of the University of Portland and resides in Camas, Washington. Mr. Faherty has a broad business background and excellent understanding of our market area, stated Ben Schellenberg, Chairman of Town Center Bancorp. Mr. Faherty has been a founding shareholder of the Bank and we are excited to have him join our Board. Town Center Bancorp is the parent company of Town Center Bank, headquartered in North Clackamas County. The Bank recently expanded into the Portland area with a full service office located at N.E. 107th and Halsey St. In May 2003, the Bank opened a residential mortgage and business-lending center in Vancouver, Washington. Mr. Peterson comes to MBank with several years experience in relationship banking with medium to large sized banks. Bobs diverse banking experience will allow him to meet the needs of the members of the Mall205/Gateway community, said Jeff Sumpter, Vice President and Office Administrator. Wired becomes Nine Ball Nine Ball is the latest incarnation for the restaurant-bar at 11340 N.E. Halsey St., and former owner Phuong Truong is back to run it. Formerly Eight Balls of Fire, New Star and Wired, the place reverted to Truongs ownership when previous owner Jeff Jones pulled the plug on Wired. For now it will be open only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and offer food, non-alcoholic drinks and dancing to recorded music, while Truong seeks a liquor license. She is uncertain whether she will operate the place herself, or sell to someone else, once this occurs. |
