Wired becomes Nine Ball
Nine Ball is the latest incarnation for the restaurant-bar at 11340 N.E. Halsey St., and former owner Phuong Truong is back to run it. Formerly Eight Balls of Fire, New Star and Wired, the place reverted to Truong’s ownership when previous owner Jeff Jones pulled the plug on Wired. For now it will be open only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and offer food, non-alcoholic drinks and dancing to recorded music, while Truong seeks a liquor license. She is uncertain whether she will operate the place herself, or sell to someone else, once this occurs.
