Inaugural Parkrose Festival Cruise-In a triumph

On Saturday, June 30 the Parkrose Business Association (PBA) sponsored the inaugural Parkrose Festival Cruise-In, a Rose Festival sanctioned event held at Parkrose High School and Community Center. Nearly 200 classic cars competed in more than 43 categories for trophies and plaques. This 1956 T-Bird owned by James and Janet Brinsfield of Boring won “Best T-Bird.”
Parkrose Hardware owner and car buff Bryan Ableidinger prepares his 1934 Ford, one of Ableidinger’s three entries, for judging. Ableidinger’s ‘34 Ford won “Best Upholstery” honors. Over 600 people attended this PBA sponsored event, which raised money for the PBA scholarship fund and for enhancement of the Parkrose community.

Pam Nord, PBA Treasurer said, “With the overwhelming success of this event, the Rose Festival Association told our committee they’d like to make our cruise-in one of their premier events for next year.”
