Enjoy a new kind of haircut
Scott Williams servicing Loretta Doran, a longtime neighbor, customer and family friend, in his new salon located at 11304 Northeast Morris Street. Watching a high definition television program or sporting event at the new ScottSalon on his state of the art HDTV is alone worth the price of a haircut. Especially if you've never seen HDTV.

Longtime Parkrose Heights resident Scott Williams is now offering a better haircut experience right in the neighborhood. He is opening ScottSalon in a building he built himself behind his home. He took this opportunity to launch a whole new concept in hair design. Williams is centering everything in his new salon on the customer. This new set-up gives him the chance to work with clients one-on-one, giving a more secluded, relaxing experience that includes entertainment.

The new building offers 652 square feet of room. This space includes a built-in theater system, featuring a 61 inch widescreen high definition monitor. The entertainment center boasts a 6.1 Dolby Digital Pro Logic sound system and digital satellite programming. By request, Williams even serves theater-style butter popcorn and a variety of beverages.

Williams didn’t stop at mere entertainment. His clients also get their styling done in either a completely restored 1950’s barber chair or in a relaxing chair featuring electro-massage. There is even a microbar.

Scott Williams has been a stylist for over 15 years, and has owned his own salon since 1988. Most recently, Williams owned Hair Design Associates in 111th Square, at N.E. 111th Ave. and Halsey St. Williams also spent four years teaching at Phagans Beauty School.

He is a local businessman, and a graduate of Parkrose high, class of 1983. Personal service has always been his specialty and has gained him a large following of faithful clients in N.E. Portland.

Ready for more from your hair stylist? Visit ScottSalon and experience Williams’ skilled hands and personal attention, great theater system, and the relaxing massage chair.

For more information or to make an appointment, call ScottSalon today. Free consultations are also available. Scottsalon can be reached at 503-252-6110, or drop by 11304 N.E. Morris St., Building B. On sight parking and evening appointments are available. The facility is also handicap accessible.

Fresh Faith Church celebrates first anniversary
The purpose of Fresh Faith Church is to build a community based on scripture, motivated by love, nurtured through prayer, empowered by the Spirit, and united in faith and practice. Equipped with this purpose and an espresso cart, an ambitious group of people began the church on the second floor of the Halsey Business Center at 11300 N.E. Halsey St. Sharing a building with a sports medicine clinic, insurance company, accounting firm, health care providers and an employment agency is just one way this church is unusual.

Fresh Faith Church has turned their “Upper Room” into a unique experience. The moment you reach the top of the stairs, the aroma of freshly-brewed coffee greets you. The Soul Café boasts an espresso cart surrounded by small tables.

The church also boasts quality vocalists for their informal worship times. The relaxed atmosphere, casual dress, lively music, and relevant interactive messages from the pastor make this church unique. The church also provides services for the community. They have a moving team that has already helped several people relocate. A food pantry is available for those in need. Career, personal, and family counseling is offered by competent professionals. Weekly prayer letters and on call prayer chains are also available.

Fresh Faith Church offers lots of small group involvement. There is something for everyone: study groups, social clubs, special interest groups, service groups and literature groups are just a few of the offerings.

Lead pastor Peter Warner said that Fresh Faith Church “is a church for today. It is for people who want a relevant spiritual life that doesn’t get overwhelmed by all the trappings.” Fresh Faith Church has changed lives, healed people and relationships, and solved problems. Visit Fresh Faith Church and see what it can do for you. The church is in the Halsey Business Center, 11300 N.E. Halsey St., Suite 217. For more information, please call 503-257-4162.
