Tuesdays from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. Gourdy Pumpernickels Harvest Surprise: Its harvest season, and whether its zucchini, rutabaga or blueberries, Gourdy grows them all. The Mudeye Puppet Company presents this all-new, all-original, all-ages puppet show about a determined but slightly silly farmer who never gives up. With some imagination and a lot of reading, Gourdy Pumpernickel shows you how to grow squash, how to make a pumpkin pie and his most prized invention, the scrap-tractor-cycle. Join Gourdy and friends in this musical, interactive seasonal spectacular. This show runs approximately 25 minutes, with an opportunity to meet the puppets at the end. All characters are entirely made from reused and salvaged materials. Puppeteer Bruce Orr uses this time to encourage kids in making their own creations. Free tickets for seating will be available 30 minutes prior to the program. Sunday, Nov. 9 from 2 to 3 p.m. Tapestry of Tales Family Matinee: Enjoy a storytelling performance by Bill Harley. As a child, he worked in the fields of California. He has written a few award-winning books, including La Mariposa, The Circuit: Stories from the Life of a Migrant Child and Breaking Through. Jiménez will talk about his experiences growing up as an immigrant and how this affects his writing. He will also read from his books.
