Portland Fire Bureau Battalion Chief, head of Fighter Association, arrested for DUII

A news release from the Portland Police Bureau about the arrest on DUII charges of James Forquer, president the Portland Firefighter’s Association and a current PFB Battalion in outer east Portland.

On Tuesday January 25, 2011, at approximately 7:36 p.m., Portland Police officers responded to the report of a traffic crash at Southeast 158th Avenue and Foster Road. The officer arrived and learned that the vehicle, a 2008 Jeep Wrangler, had struck a telephone pole and was in a ditch on the South side of Southeast Foster Road.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.


Mercedes manslaughter generates reward

The unedited news release from the Portland Police Bureau about a reward offered in Tuesday’s fatal hit and run on Southeast Division Street follows:

The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers, is asking for your help in solving a fatal hit and run to a pedestrian in
Southeast Portland.

On Tuesday January 4, 2011, at approximatley (sic) 11:51 p.m., Portland Police officers responded to Southeast 126th and Division Street on the report of a pedestrian lying in the street after being struck by a passing car. Witnesses reported that the vehicle did not stop after hitting the pedestrian and continued westbound on Southeast Division.


Dark, dank, dismal Division St. dangerous for pedestrians

Outer east Portland’s Division St. is a dangerous place for pedestrians these days. A news release from the Portland Police Bureau about another pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle — the second in less than 24-hours — follows:

This afternoon, Wednesday January 5, 2011, at approximately 1:49 p.m., Portland Police responded to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 17000 Block of Southeast Division Street. Officers and medical personnel arrived and found a 47-year-old female suffering from life-threatening injuries.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and remains in critical condition.


Mercedes babe manslaughters man at midnight

Last night, around midnight, a young woman driving a Mercedes Benz ran over and killed a man in outer east Portland. A news release and update from the Portland Police Bureau follows:

The Portland Police Major Crash Team confirmed the identity of the deceased pedestrian from the overnight hit and run.  Witnesses told police they saw a black vehicle, possibly a Mercedes Benz, hit 38-year-old Rance Lee Lamb from Southeast Portland as he crossed Southeast Division Street in the 12600 block.


Mill Park man argues with family, shoots at police, commits suicide

A news release about Craig Boehler, who opened fire on police after they were called to a Mill Park home during a family argument. The release follows:

At 12:40 a.m. on November 23, 2010, Portland Police Officers responded to a call in the 11000  Block of SE 106th and Cherry Blossom regarding a family disturbance.

When they arrived, they discovered that a father, adult son and adult daughter were in the midst of an argument and gunfire had been exchanged. Officers were able to coordinate getting the father and daughter safely out of the house. However, the son remained in the house and continued to fire at officers.


Police investigate Cricket Wireless store armed robbery

A news release from the Portland Police Bureau about an armed robbery in east Portland last night follows:

This evening, Friday November 12, 2010 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Portland Police officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at Cricket Wireless, located at 3510 Southeast 122nd Avenue. Officers arrived and learned that the suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled northbound on foot.

Officers set up a neighborhood perimeter but did not locate the suspect. Witnesses described the suspect as a white or Hispanic male in his 20s, 5’10″, thin build, wearing dark clothes and a black bandanna covering his face.


Police Investigate Deadly Shooting on Southeast Division

ъглови леглаA News Release from the Portland Police Bureau about last night’s deadly shooting at the Good Call Sports Bar & Grill on Southeast 110th and Division Street follows.

Early this morning, Saturday October 23, 2010 at approximately 12:58 a.m., Portland Police officers responded to the Good Call Sports Bar & Grill, located at 11010 Southeast Division Street, on the report of four people shot. Officers arrived and located several gunshot victims.

A 28-year-old Asian male was deceased at the scene, and three others were seriously injured. The three surviving victims are a 30-year-old Asian male, a 21-year-old Asian male, and a 41-year-old Asian male. All three were taken to area hospitals with gunshot wounds and are expected to survive.


Crime Stoppers Needs Help Solving Murder in east Portland

A news release from Portland Police Bureau Crime Stopper’s about a Mid-county murder murder follows. Crime Stoppers and police need your help solving this crime.

“Crime Stoppers, in cooperation with the Portland Police Bureau, wants your help in solving a homicide that occurred in East Portland.

“On June 11, 2010, at approximately 12:51 in the morning, 33-year-old David Cosmo Jenkins was shot and killed while driving a light blue, 1991 Oldsmobile westbound on E. Burnside at 90th Ave. Detectives believe he was coming from the area of 162nd and E. Burnside just prior to his death.


East Portland shooting

“Last night (7/26) around 8:30 p.m., Portland Police Officers responded to the 3800 block of SE 136th Avenue on a call of a shooting that had just occurred.  When officers arrived, they were unable to locate a shooting victim but received information from witnesses that shots had been fired from a vehicle.


Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested Hiding in Gateway Shrubbery

“Update: The suspect wanted in today’s SERT activation has been found in the area of 120th and Ash. He was locating hiding under bushes.

“The suspect involved in today’s SERT callout has been identified as Leslie Ward Petersen.

“On Wednesday, June 30, 2010, the Portland Police Bureau’s SERT was activated in the area of 121st and Burnside after the U.S. Marshals attempted to arrest a suspected armed robber who was in a residence in the area.”
