Senator Ron Wyden holds Town Hall tomorrow at David Douglas
An e-mail from David Douglas School District’s Special Projects Director Dan McCue tells us Oregon’s senior Senator Ron Wyden is holding a Town Hall Meeting at the Howard Horner Performing Arts Center tomorrow on the David Douglas High School campus. It follows.
“The David Douglas website posts upcoming community events that might be of interest to residents, even if they are not directly related to the District. Here are a couple coming right up:
“U.S. Senator Ron Wyden hosts a Town Hall Meeting tomorrow (Tues. Jan. 5) from 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the high school’s Performing Arts Center, 1400 S.E. 130th Ave. He says he not making any speeches, but just wants to answer your questions and listen to your concerns. All are welcome.
“Also, the City of Portland holds its 23rd Annual Fix-It Fair from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at the high school, 1001 SE 135th Avenue. The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability will have tons of exhibits on how to save money and energy, home and personal health, yard and garden tips, recycling and more. They are providing free lunch and childcare.
You can see more details at our Community Events page here.
“I’m also posting this on our new Facebook page. Which, by the way, we’re up to 408 fans as of this morning! If you’re not yet following us on Facebook, come join the growing crowd.
“Thanks for your continued interest in and support of David Douglas schools. Please send feedback to david_douglas@ddouglas.k2.or.us”
