The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability kicks off its Fix-It Fair season Saturday, Nov. 17 at east Portland’s Madison High School.

The free fairs feature workshops and information booths designed to help citizens take easy steps to save money and live healthy this winter season.

Free bicycle tune-ups are part of every Fix-It Fair.

Fix-It Fair workshops focus on water and energy savings, home and personal health, food and nutrition, community resources, recycling and yard care, bike tune-ups, and more.

Workshops are free to the community, include lunch and professional child care.

Saturday’s Fix-It Fair at Madison, 2735 N.E. 82nd Ave, runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
