Positively Entertainment & Dining to celebrate thirty years of publishing
Positively Entertainment & Dining, the region’s longest-running entertainment newspaper, celebrates 30 years of publication, Sunday, Feb 25, 2007, from 2 to 10 pm. The 30th Anniversary Party and Benefit (for Oregon Food Bank & Ethos Music Center) features top bands in a day-long celebration in east Portland at Spice Restaurant & Lounge (formerly Billy Reed’s), 2808 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Portland, Ore., 503-493-8127. Parking is available at the bank across the street.
Live music includes Hard Days Knights, Norman Sylvester, Billy Hagen, Bolt Upright, Closed Captioned, Sonny Hess & Women in Blues including Lisa Mann, Megan James and more TBA, closing with an All-Star Jam. Many well-known entertainers will also make appearances. Drawings for prizes are every hour and include CDs, T-shirts, dinners, gift certificates and more.
A full menu and no-host bar will be provided. Menu includes appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, entrees.
A suggested donation of $5 and two cans of food is requested. Beneficiaries include the Oregon Food Bank and Ethos Music Center, a non-profit organization providing music education to disadvantaged youth.
