One day only: Parkrose Farmers Market takin’ it to the street

The Memo story about the upcoming Parkrose Festival & Cruise-In gives more details on the August 2nd event the Parkrose Farmers Market is participating in.

The Parkrose Farmers Market is booming with activities and great local produce and crafts.

On Saturday, Aug. 2nd the Market is joining forces with the Parkrose Business Association and moving the market for that one day to Sandy Blvd. between Northeast 105th and 112th Avenues for the Parkrose Festival and Cruise In, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. With old fashioned and new fashioned cars, great music, cooking demos, crafts, and most of all that fresh Local Produce it is sure to be an event to remember.

On Saturday, Aug. 16th The Parkrose Farmers Market baking contest where delicious pies, cakes, and breads will be judged by the Portland Fire Bureau and Rescue staff of Fire Station #2.

Winners in each category receive a $20.00 gift certificate.

August is super sweet local corn month for Parkrose Farmers Market. Also in August at the market are peaches, apricots, cherries and vegetables.

Saturday, Aug. 9th: Rewinders
Saturdays Aug. 16 and 30: Lew Jones
Saturday, Aug. 23rd: Hotaudio

Parkrose Farmers Market runs every Saturday through October, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Parkrose High School Community Center, Northeast 122nd and Shaver Street.
