As many know, the Oregon State University Beavers baseball team won the 2006 College World Series, only the second National Collegiate Athletic Association championship in school history.

Eddie Kunz, a Parkrose native and diamond artist at Parkrose High School is a fireball throwing relief pitcher, and was an integral part of the Beavers CWS run.

The 2004 Mt. Hood Conference baseball co-champions Parkrose High School. Kunz, on the field and in the picture stands tallest.

Kunz has been in Massachusetts this summer playing baseball and returns home in late August. Ray and Sue Kunz (Eddie’s parents), and the Kunz family, invite the public to a party for Parkrose’s favorite son at the home of Barb Anderson, 3602 N.E. 134th Ave., Sunday, Sept. 3 from 1 to 6 p.m.
It’s been a hectic summer for the Kunz family with all the celebrations and the whirlwind of activity, but hey, they don’t regret it for a second.
It’s a chance for friends, fans, and Parkrose supporters to celebrate the College World Series success with Eddie.

And he’s ready to continue the championship celebrations before his junior year begins in September.
Fans are invited to bring items and memorabilia for Eddie to autograph.
No RSVP is necessary.
Kunz had an impact as a sophomore stopper out of the bullpen, we wonder if he’ll crack the starting rotation for the Beavers in 2007. Ask Eddie what he thinks at his party.
Whatever he does in his junior season, Kunz has proven a winner at every level of his baseball career.
