Events at The Grotto
We received an e-mail from our friends at The Grotto — the beautiful 62-acre Catholic shrine and botanical garden located off Sandy Blvd. in east Portland near 85th Avenue — letting us know about events happening there in April.
Saint Peregrine Mass, Saturday, April 4 at noon
A monthly Mass and blessing with the relic of Saint Peregrine is offered at The Grotto in the Chapel of Mary. Saint Peregrine is the patron saint of victims of cancer, AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.
Divine Mercy Sunday, Mass Sunday, April 19 at 10 a.m.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
Veneration and Prayer 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Sacrament of Reconciliation 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Divine Mercy Chaplet 3:00 p.m.
Benediction 3:30 p.m.
The Grotto is a non-profit Oregon corporation, supported solely by the proceeds of its gift shop and by donations. It is administered by the Order of Friar Servants of Mary.
