David Douglas/KGW School Supply Drive
A note from Dan McCue, Special Projects at David Douglas School District, follows.
Please spread the word. Social Media has to positively impact endeavors like this as old media did, does to gain credibility.
“As you probably are aware, the annual Adequate Yearly Progress reports have been released. We have an article up on our website about our results, along with links upon links that provide all the information anyone could want about AYP, assessments, and our schools. Get to it all here:
“Also, the KGW School Supply Drive kicked off today. This is an effort to get donated school supplies in the hands of students whose families may not be able to afford them. Here’s a link for more information and how and where to donate.
“But it’s important to remember that if you want your donated supplies to go to David Douglas students, you must drop them off at a site within our District.
“Please take them to the OnPoint Community Credit Union at Mall 205 to be sure they go to our kids. And please spread the word about this effort. Our kids could really use this sort of help.
“Thank you for your continued interest in and commitment to the David Douglas School District. Please send any questions to: david_douglas@ddouglas.k12.or.us”
