Portland City Council candidate Jeff Bissonnette will be hosting a
town hall meeting at Parkrose High School Community Center at 12003 N.E. Shaver St.
This will be the second in a series of five town halls, intended to give Portland citizens the ability to discuss important issues as part of Bissonnette’s campaign for City Council.
Bissonnette said he plans to continue these regular town hall forums once elected to the Portland City Council.
“I believe our City Council should do more to get out of City Hall and into Portland neighborhoods. As part of my campaign, and as I walk through neighborhoods, I am inviting people in the area to come to these town hall forums and speak up about their concerns,” Bissonnette said.
“Portlanders shouldn’t have to make a pilgrimage downtown to have input into city issues.”
The focus of this meeting will be clean energy as an economic foundation for the city. Joining the discussion will be leaders from Oregon’s clean energy industry, including Suzanne Leta Liou, a regional policy analyst on renewable energy issues.
The town hall meeting will be held Thursday, March 20 from 6:30 to 8
p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Future town hall meetings are scheduled for the Hollywood, Southeast and St Johns neighborhoods.
Jeff Bissonnette is running for Position #1 on the Portland City
Council. He lives in St. Johns. For more information please visit www.portlandersforjeff.com.
