The Refectory’s Annual Customer Appreciation Party is tonight at 7 p.m.

Owners Mitch and Cece Stanley fete their customers with complimentary food and beverages at the yearly bacchanalia. Bring non-perishable cans of food for their favorite community charity,  SnowCap.

Holiday breakfast benefits SnowCap in East Multnomah County

Memo readers and Mid-Multnomah County business owners will want to get involved in a holiday event that benefits everybody.

It’s “A Christmas Breakfast,” presented by the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Gresham Baptist Church, set for Friday, Dec. 14, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. It’s to be at the Greater Gresham Baptist Church, 3848 N.E. Division St. in Gresham.

It’s a benefit for SnowCap Community Charities.

The cost is $12 per person, with sponsored tables available for $125 each.

Tickets are available by either calling Julie at the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce at 503-665-1131 or by calling Rhea Rice at SnowCap at 503-674-8785, ext. 17.


Unitus unites food with boxes at SnowCap

Last month, ten dedicated Unitus Community Credit Union employees volunteered an entire workday at the SnowCap Community Charities warehouse located in Southeast Portland.

Unitus employees rolled up their sleeves and went to work on everything from packing food boxes to painting. They hand-packed over 250 Food to You boxes that were delivered to seniors, broke down, measured and packaged 100 pounds of pancake mix and 200 pounds of rice, painted food collection barrels and interior SnowCap headquarters office walls and even measured and packaged pet food for SnowCap clients’ four-legged friends.
