Kunz family announces public party for OSU bullpen ace

As many know, the Oregon State University Beavers baseball team won the 2006 College World Series, only the second National Collegiate Athletic Association championship in school history.

Eddie Kunz, a Parkrose native and diamond artist at Parkrose High School is a fireball throwing relief pitcher, and was an integral part of the Beavers CWS run.

The 2004 Mt. Hood Conference baseball co-champions Parkrose High School. Kunz, on the field and in the picture stands tallest.

Merkley and Wyden to hold public forum

Oregon State Rep. Jeff Merkley (D-Portland) and United States Senator Ron Wyden (D-Oregon) will hold a public forum Saturday, August 19th in the St. Therese Parish Social Center in east Portland.

Representative Merkley and Senator Wyden continue to work closely together on issues that affect all Oregonians. Their discussion will focus on a variety of topics including:

—Making quality health care more affordable
—Bringing down prescription drug prices
—Keeping our children safe from Internet predators
—Combating the Methamphetamine epidemic
—Making government more accountable to the public
