The Mid-county Memo is your newspaper. We want to hear from you. Discuss an important issue or address a concern you want to call to the community’s attention. We prefer e-mailed letters to the editor sent to Darlene Vinson at editor@midcountymemo.com. Please put “Letter to the editor” in the subject line. You may also mail your letter to 3510 N.E. 134th Ave., Portland, OR 97230 or fax it to 503-249-7672. The deadline for the May issue is Wednesday, April 15.

TriMet rescinds local bus cuts

To the editor:
Parkrose Bus Riders have what it takes to save their Bus 22 (line) from Saturday and Sunday service cuts. In February, TriMet had planned to drastically reduce service on Bus 22, but after receiving a tremendous number of responses against the cuts, decided to keep service as it currently runs. TriMet will revisit the issue again in December but for now we have our bus and a dedicated group of riders.

TriMet continues to accept comments by 5 p.m. Friday, April 10, mail: TriMet-MK2, 4012 S.E. 17th Ave., Portland, OR 97202; e-mail: comments@trimet.org; phone: 503-962-5806.
