November Holiday Bazaar announcements

The holidays are coming, and with them come holiday bazaars.  We at the Mid-county Memo want to be able to tell our readers about all the fun and exciting bazaars going on.  We are asking our readers help - please submit your bazaar notices for December today.  If you know of a bazaar, whether it is for your church, monthly group, or neighborhood Association, send us a quick email or letter.  Email editor@midcountymemo.com, or send a sheet with complete details, including date, time, location, organization, and another other details you can provide to Dawn Widler, Dept. Help kids with your gift purchases

Our Children's Store, a grown-up holiday store profiting children's programs, invites the public to a unique holiday party.  Enjoy an evening of shopping, refreshments and fun while supporting charities that help children, including the local Serendipity Center.  Come to Our Children's Store at N.E. Weidler St. and 12th Ave.  Join the festivities on Monday, Nov. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. 

 

Huge rummage sale at Harmony Montessori School

Help support Harmony Montessori School by attending the rummage sale on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  There will be a wide variety of quality items including toys, tools, baby items, clothing and household goods.  Proceeds will go to support the non-profit school.  The sale will be held at Savage Memorial Presbyterian Church on the corner of S.E. 139th Ave. and Mill Street. Holiday gift and craft bazaar

Once again, it is time for the Annual Holiday Gift and Craft Bazaar at Woodland Park Hospital.  Along with a variety of quality gifts, there will be a bake sale, popcorn, and free coffee.  The Holiday Gift and Craft Bazaar will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15 and Friday Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days.  The bazaar will be held in the auditorium at Woodland Park Hospital, 10300 N.E. Hancock Street, off N.E. 102nd Ave, and N.E. Halsey St. 

Proceeds from the bazaar will benefit the Woodland Park Hospital Volunteers' Auxiliary outreach and scholarship initiatives.  Do your Christmas shopping or pick up something for yourself at this colorful event.  For more information, please call 503-271-2145.

 

Bazaar celebrates 20 years

For it's twentieth year, the St. Therese Women's Association Holiday Bazaar will include vendors from throughout the Northwest, with over 50 craft tables.  This bazaar is also well known for it's bake sale items, children's shopping area and raffle.  Deli-style sandwiches and snacks will also be available to purchase.  

Make the St. Therese Women's Association Holiday Bazaar your first stop for Christmas shopping.  The Holiday Bazaar will be held on Friday, Nov. 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 10 from 10 to 4 p.m.  It will be held in St. Therese Church and School, 1260 N.E. 132nd Ave. at N.E. Join the Elks and Elkettes for food and fun

The Gateway Elkettes annual Holiday Bazaar will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, and Sunday Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gateway Elks Lodge, 711 N.E. 100th Ave.  More than 50 tables of hand-crafted gifts for all ages, including holiday decorations and homemade baked goods, jams and jellies will be featured.  A lunchroom with free coffee will be available.

In addition, on Sunday, Nov. 4, The Gateway Elks Lodge and St. Rita Catholic Church Italian Spaghetti Dinner will be served in the Elks Lodge dining room, 711 N.E. 100th Ave., from noon to 6 p.m.  Cost will be $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12, with children under 3 admitted free.  The funds from this dinner are used to support many youth and charitable causes, including scholarships, the Elk Children's Eye Clinic, and 300 Christmas food baskets, among others.

United Methodist Church to hold holiday bazaar

The Parkrose United Methodist Church is planning their annual holiday bazaar for Friday, Nov. 9, and Saturday, Nov. 10.  The Church invites all Mid-County Memo readers to attend the popular bazaar, which is noted for it's unusual gift items, assorted crafts including jewelry and sewn handiwork, holiday decorations, and baked goods. 

A lunch of homemade vegetable beef soup, sandwiches, and fresh baked apple and pumpkin pies will be served both days.  The bazaar will take place at the Parkrose United Methodist Church at 11111 N.E. Knott St. on Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

St. Rita Fall Festival

St. Rita Catholic Church will be holding their annual Fall Festival and Bazaar on Friday, Nov. 2, and Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Featured will be many new vendor tables, as well as a boutique, baked goods, fresh produce and unusual and unique "white elephant" items.  Lunch will also be served all day.  St. Rita Catholic Church is located at 10029 N.E. Faith Lutheran Harvest Mission Festival

Don't miss the Harvest Mission Festival at Faith Lutheran Church on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The Festival will include a baked goods booth, homemaker's booth, sewing booth, craft booth and more.  Support local and world missions with purchases at the Festival in Faith Lutheran Church, 6140 N.E. The Knight before Christmas
